My FindIT Search doesn't work, how can I enable it?

The FindIT Search feature is designed to work on IE 8.0 (running on windows XP), thru IE 11.0, as well as on current versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari internet browsers. Older operating systems such as XP may contain limitations that will prevent the Search from working on IE. XP users: Microsoft will discontinue support on April 8, 2014. This means they will no longer update the Security Essentials for XP leaving your computer vulnerable to hackers, scammers, viruses, and malware. Now is the time to consider a new computer with an updated operating system.

When the FindIT search box appears to the left in Orgill.com, there should be two dropdown menus in the box. Please see image to the left.

If the “Select” drop down menu is missing, the browser did not load the search box correctly. This may be corrected by simply deleting Temporary internet files and cookies. This is a browser specific function and instructions for each browser are listed in the Website FAQs on Orgill.com (link provided under Information or at the bottom right of every page on the site). Selecting Internet Options from the Computers Control panel will only delete files for Internet Explorer. If Chrome, Firefox or Safari are being used, please refer to the instructions in Website FAQs to delete these files and cookies. Computer cleaning programs may also be used for this purpose and most will find files and cookies for all browsers. Windows also provides built in tools to perform these functions. There are several available online and some of them are free. Do some research to find the one best for you, remember, just because there is a fee for the software or service does not always mean it is better.
